The Paschal Triduum

Dear Sisters and Brothers,

Thursday starts the Triduum, or the Paschal Triduum, which is the period of three days that begins with the Eucharist of the Lord's Supper Thursday, includes the Good Friday liturgies, reaches its high point in the Easter Vigil on Saturday night, and closes with the Festive Eucharist on Easter Sunday.

These are holy days we are entering into. Spend some time in prayerful contemplation of what Christ has done for us. As the Book of Common Prayer puts it, "The Lord Jesus, after he had supped with his disciples and had washed their feet, said to them, 'Do you know what I, your Lord and Master, have done to you? I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done.'"

Blessings,
