Attic Treasures features good quality household goods, clothing, furniture, jewelry, books, toys, collectibles, and much more. Besides providing quality items at very affordable prices, proceeds from Attic Treasures are used to support local charitable work and diocesan ministries as well as the ministry of St. Christopher's.
A variety of Christian education opportunities are provided at St. Christopher's. Two informal discussion groups are currently underway: one meets Tuesdays at noon, and the other meets Wednesdays following the 6 p.m. service. Check the calendar for the latest schedule. You're always welcome to drop in for any session as your schedule permits. Have an idea for a discussion topic? Mother Lorna would love to hear from you!
Path To Shine is a once-weekly after school mentoring program for at-risk and under-served elementary school children. Students meet Mondays from 4:15 – 6:15 for help with homework, reading and math, plus a snack and playtime.
Messy Church meets one Saturday a month at 5 p.m. for an hour of stories, music, crafts, a simple supper and kid-friendly Eucharist. Bring the kids and come as you are. Fun for pre-K through primary grades, and their favorite adults. Check the calendar for the date of the next Messy Church.
The Saint Monica chapter of the Daughters of the King meets at 3:30 on the third Wednesday of every month. We focus on prayer, service, and evangelism in a variety of ways. If you want to know more about the DOK's "rule of prayer" and "rule of service," drop in on a meeting, or look for leaflets in the parish hall. All women and girls are welcome.
St. Christopher's offers a variety of ways to serve and get to know your fellow parishioners. If you want to get involved, just ask! Maybe you're interested in being a member of the choir or altar guild, or would like to be a lay Eucharistic minister, a lector, or an usher. Or if you just want to be a part of a loving community, that's fine too.
Have a question or a prayer request? Fill out the form below, and we'll be glad to contact you. Please include your phone number if you'd like a call from the rector, Lorna Erixson.
